INTRODUCTION.

Kiter Engineering Ltd. is a class “A” registered Electrical Contracting firm, involved in taking on electrical installation projects for new installations as well as maintenance, rectification and improvements of existing installations.

Since inception in 1994, the company has engaged in providing professional services in the field of electrical engineering and has gained considerable experience as electrical contractors. The depth of the company’s experience covers, industrial installations including repairs/improvements and maintenance, commercial complexes, public and private institutions and residential projects. The company’s clients range from Multinational companies, Government institutions, Parastatals as well as private individuals.  

The company is registered in category “F” by Ministry of Public Works and as Electrical Contractor category “D” by both the Ministry of Water Resources and Ministry of Agriculture.

SAFETY, HEALTH & ENVIRONMENTAL (SHE) POLICY.

Kiter Engineering limited is committed to maintenance of high safety standards, promotion of good behavior among employees and protection of the environment.

The company-:

  • Takes responsibility for maintaining and enhancing safety awareness among staff.
  • Requires that SHE incidents/observations be investigated, reported and recorded.
  • Strives to improve on SHE performance by reviewing reported incidents/issues during safety meetings.
  • Recognises that alcohol, drug or other substance abuse by employees impairs their ability to perform efficiently and have serious adverse effects on safety. Therefore the company has a policy on Alcohol and Drugs.
  • Believes that having qualified and medically fit employees is a major step towards achieving high SHE standards and therefore has “Fitness to Work Policy.”
  • Recognises by rewarding those employees who perform exceptionally well on safety awareness.

TOOLS

Kiter Engineering owns enough tools and equipment to handle all types of electrical jobs. These include several vehicles (13no.), five aluminium scaffoldings, several step and extension ladders, testing and measuring instruments (AVO-meter, Earth Loop tester, insulation tester etc.). The company also owns, bending tools for steel conduits, crimping tools power drills, and fully equipped toolboxes. The company has main office and workshop in Nairobi and has operational bases in Mombasa and Nakuru

MANPOWER

The company maintains a workforce of qualified and medically/physically fit to work team (30no. currently). Very careful selection and training of staff enables Kiter Engineering Ltd to offer its clients high level of proficiency and efficient execution of all jobs undertaken. Engagement of any casual workers and sub-contractors is also done very carefully with a view of maintenance of high safety standards at the worksites.
